Mental Health Public Informational Events
Mental Health and Our Society – 1 Hour
Diana Ketterman provides presentations for Mental Health Public Informational Events. This presentation will expose the shame, secrecy and embarrassment caused by the stigma associated with mental illness. The presenter will address the risks she faced as an “invisible” child living with a mother with undiagnosed schizophrenia and a father mentally incapacitated with a brain tumor. The purpose of this lecture is to bring hope and resilience and encourage dialog with the general public who are dealing personally with mental illness and all levels of professionals (law enforcement, social services, health professionals, educators) who deal with the challenges of responding to those who suffer with mental illness.
